Christian Moen Founder, CEO, Software Engineer
Christian founded Atilika to help Japanese companies apply search and related technologies to improve their businesses.
Christian has 13 years of experience working with most aspects of search; from search engine R&D to deploying large, complex and mission-critical search solutions to leading businesses.
Christian is also an Apache Lucene and Apache Solr committer and he helps maintain overall Japanese language support (based on Kuromoji).
Prior to starting Atilika, Christian spent 10 years at FAST (now Microsoft). In FAST R&D headquarters in Oslo, Christian led product development teams responsible for developing the FAST ESP product infrastructure. In 2005, he relocated to the Tokyo branch office and served in management and architecture roles.
Christian holds an M.Sc. in computer science from the University of Oslo, Norway.

Gaute Lambertsen Partner Software Engineer
Gaute joined Atilika in April 2012.
Gaute has experience in research on mobile communication networks from Ritsumeikan University and in ubiquitous computing from the PRESTO project at Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST).
From 2005 Gaute worked at Nokia Research Center in Tokyo, developing a wide variety of hardware and software prototypes for research applications.
Before joining Atilika, Gaute worked for almost four years at Sony Digital Network Applications (SDNA) in Tokyo, where he developed software applications for consumer electronics products.
Gaute holds an M.Sc. in computer science from Ritsumeikan University, Japan.
